Michael Mew (nickname Mike Mew) is an orthodontist, from an orthodontist family who has developed a system of teeth straightening which involves tongue postures and changes to the muscles of the face in order to realign teeth.

Mew became famous when he posted his theory on dental alignment and it's influence on facial structure on the Sluthate forum. Many forum users were hopecelling that this could be the "one weird trick" they needed to become attractive male models. Mike Mew addressed various questions raised on Sluthate on his YouTube channel.

Mew has been criticized not basing his mewing technique on "sound scientific evidence that would make it a viable alternative treatment to orthognathic surgery" (see mewing).
