Cheerleader effect

The cheerleader effect is the phenomenon where a group of girls might look drop-dead gorgeous, even though when viewed individually, none of the girls are that attractive.
When we look at a group of cheerleaders, we see a group of girls with light hair and tan skin - that's hot. But when we look at them individually, we notice their facial imperfections and realize they are only of average attractiveness.
It has been proposed by some incels that there exists a male version of this phenomenon, the maleleader effect, where the most attractive man in a group, who has mogged the remainder of men in a group, makes them be seen as less attractive due to the female instinct of hypergamy.
