Andrew Tate
Name: | Emory Andrew Tate III |
Date of Birth: | December 1st 1986 |
Occupation: | Influencer |
Ethnicity: | Mulatto (Romanian and Black) |
Andrew Tate is an american redpiller who's seen by many in the incelosphere as a grifter. He often described himself as somewhat of a young men's rights advocate, saying things such as: "As a man, no one is coming to save you. It's on you to go achieve great things in life. Become the man everyone respects and wants to be around."[1]. While many in the redpill community worship him, most blackpillers and bluepillers see him as a scam artist and sex offender, in light of his human trafficking allegations.[2]
Childhood and early years[edit | edit source]
Andrew Tate was born in Washington DC to middle class parents (Romanian mother and African-American father), he spent his early childhood in Chicago (Illinois) and Goshen (Indiana), in 1997, when he was 10 years old, he moved to Luton (England) due to his parents' divorce. Andrew's childhood and teen years were characterized by frequent relocations.[3]
His youth was marked by being raised to have strong discipline, he was allegedly bullied and claimed to have fought back using his martial art skills. Little is known about his romantic success, but he likely wasn't an incel.[4]
In his early adult years Andrew and his brother Tristan became an entrepreneurs in the webcam model (E-thot) business (i.e; they were digital pimps). In 2017, they moved to Romania, citing the country's privacy laws and more lax financial regulations as the reasons to why they resettled there.[5]
Rise to fame[edit | edit source]
After having toned down on his Webcam business (due to rape accusations), little is known as to how exactly he made most of his money (likely due to his alleged connections to the Romanian mafia), though he claims to have made most of it by investing in bitcoin, owning casinos and farming tobacco.[6]
In 2017 he began making youtube videos expressing his opinions on various topics such as self-improvement, finance, women and how to attract them, he overall still had a very small online presence and it wouldn't be until 2021 when he began to blow up. Andrew noticed how he would have a significantly larger amount of views anytime he made controversial videos regarding women and what it means to be a "real man", as of late 2021 he was appearing on podcasts and shows, boosting his fame. This newgiven fame gave him the idea to open up "hustlers university" $50 per month get-rich-quick scam course promising it will teach its users how to be as successful as he is with women and money, the course just consisted of basic finance advice, combined with recycled PUA tips, and occasional rants from Andrew about random topics such as what it means to be a "Sigma male"[6]. In April 2022, the U.S. Embassy in Romania received a report that an American woman was being held against her will at a property owned by the Tate brothers. The allegations did not make the mainstream news, this however, would foreshadow future events.
By mid 2022, Andrew was a household name and was appearing left and right on podcasts and streamers' shows like fresh and fit, Sneako, Adin Ross and others, his clips were also being reposted everywhere. All of this fame had somehow made him convince hundreds of thousands of men to buy his course, resulting in the Tate brothers making millions every month.[6]
In late October 2022, he converts to Islam, for ideological reasons.
Decline in fame[edit | edit source]
Andrew's controversial opinions led him to get banned on basically every major social media. On December 29th, 2022, The Romanian anti-organized crime agency (DIICOT), detains the Tate brothers on suspicion of human trafficking, organized crime, rape and other allegations. Following the arrest, his popularity on the internet began to crash, many of his former fans turned on him, not seeing him as a good role model anymore. Andrew would be released from prison in late march 2023, in the following years he got detained, restricted and questioned numerous times by British, Romanian and American law enforcement. By 2025, Andrew Tate and the 2022 redpill "sigma" era was seen as just a distant memory by most.[7][8]
