Looks or physical attractiveness is how pleasing a face or body is. Physical attractiveness is not the same as sexual attractiveness. Sexual attractiveness consists of a wider range of qualities like status, voice, movement, body odor and mutual attraction. In addition, children could be physically attractive but not sexually attractive.

Physical attractiveness is associated with a 10-point increase in IQ,[1]better socioeconomic status and self-esteem.[2]
