Pump and dump
Pump and dump refers to a reproductive strategy in which an alpha male engages in sex with significantly lower sexual market value women only to get sex, and without intention to provide for or marry the woman.
Such male behavior is predicted by Bateman's principle which states because women have more parental investment they are choosier and as a result men are more promiscuous and engage in sex on any opportunity that arises and more quickly change partners until they decide for a partner they invest their resources in (in which case men are also somewhat choosy).
As women and their provider males will inevitably care for the offspring, alpha men can attain reproductive success this way. Some researchers have suggested that this behavior has evolved as a sexual strategy, called dual mating strategy.
