Hypertrophy is an important concept to understand for framecels and gymcels. It describes various forms of growth, and is usually used to refer to muscular hypertrophy.
There are two types:
- myofibrillar (where the muscles fibers get bigger, so the muscle gets stronger)
- sarcoplasmic (where the fluid capacity gets bigger, so the muscle can metabolize better)
Occlusion training might help either of them, but it should be noted that since the penis is smooth muscle, sarcoplasm adaptation is what is possible, the significance of myofibrils is low in smooth muscle.
