Scott Alexander is a psychiatrist, blogger,[1] incelologist and former incel[2] who refers to people on the inceldom spectrum as "the romanceless". He formerly ran the blog Slate Star Codex, a near-anagram of his own pseudonym. He is most notable for debunking the stereotype that people on the inceldom spectrum are entitled and his critique of third-wave feminism.[2] He also wrote about Scott Aaronson getting into conflict with feminists.[3] He is popular in U.S. rationalist circles.

In June 2020, he shut down his blog in response to a doxxing threat by a New York Times journalist (even though his name was already public on the internet, though not as prominently),[4] who did doxx his name and affinity to proponents of corporal punishment and race science later on. In early 2021, Scott made a new blog.[5]
