Daniel Johnston was a cult famous indie folk pop singer and incelibate. He seemed to have severe schizophrenia, and there is much out there detailing his life in and out of mental hospitals, and debilitating unrequited love for various women. He may be the only famous modern pop musician to have been an incelibate. However, he had a brief relationship with an 18 year old model and Celtic musician called Heather Stogsdill who can be seen in this music video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1cZmvtSncE He would also briefly date Austin-based musician Kathy McCarty. In 2019, Daniel died after being hospitalized for kidney malfunction. He died at age 58. Certain antipsychotic meds are tied to kidney problems in the elderly.
