Lil Watermark (real name Ian Matthew Mockler) was an Incelcore artist, singer-songwriter, and to many the best Incelcore musician. Watermark was a known name within the scene and was friends with other artists such as maniac and Tzarbombah. He graduated in 2022, though started his music career in early 2021 (aged 15). His most famous song 'h8te my guts' currently has 290,567 streams, and he has 22,509 monthly listeners as of November 11th 2025. [1]

Watermark as a person[edit | edit source]

Watermark was born in Montour Falls, New York. As stated previously, he was friends with many other artists in the scene. From what was spoken of him, he was one of the calmest people there and made it a relatively nicer ambient. Watermark has stated that he was a superfan of Incelcore and he had found it in 2020 through Negative XP's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Ruined A Whole Generation Of Women", though he disagreed with the message of it. Watermark, though one of the most notable artists on the scene, is a Fakecel, having even said his girlfriend has gone to every show he has played.

Death[edit | edit source]

Mockler was born on December 06, 2004, and died in October 22, 2024 (aged 19), in an automobile accident. Many people and friends from the scene commented on his death, such as the E-CEL podcast, maniac, Hallowed, Tzarbombah, Cameron Phlodge and more. His death could be considered what truly killed Incelcore as he was one of the greatest artists in an already dying scene. His funeral was held on October 26th, 2024.
