All fish, reptiles, snakes, dinosaurs, crocodiles, etc. only have a clump of neurons/hindbrains and are objectively ugly and or terrifying ie. not beautiful. All mammals have a hindbrain, limbic system, and neocortex, and some mammals are objectively beautiful, such as lions, tigers, and male peacocks, thus we can conclude higher brained animals select for beauty because it feels good to be around, close to, and look at what is beautiful. Some reptiles and fish are brightly colored, so objective beauty has overlap with objective health. Further evidence for this is the fact plenty of flower plants are objectively beautiful and colorful despite being unconscious organisms and therefore not selecting for beauty.
 
Shiny objects are inherently beautiful as well, such as diamonds and the Sun at sunrise and sunset. The Sun makes us feel warm, and secure, and its rays can alleviate depression. The most popular religions all anthropomorphize The Sun in some way shape or form. Bright white lights are objectively beautiful even when they are dangerous to be near, such as during an explosion. A common trope in Media is for a character to be in a near death situation and say "There's a light here, its beautiful I'm coming home." And then the supporting characters say "No DON"T! Come back to us! Don't leave us! Don't go towards the light!" This scenario always resonates with audiences. Possibly because the world started with a flash of light (Big Bang) so what is light overlaps with what is good and with what is healthy. Which can further explain most humans obsession with whites, despite most humans being some shade of brown.
