Elliot Rodger: Difference between revisions

Elliot was a member of [[PSL|PUAhate]] which was not an incel forum (although Rodger may have mistakenly perceived it as one, he described as “a forum full of men who are starved of sex, just like me”<ref>https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/30/elliot-rodger-puahate-forever-alone-reddit-forumsM/</ref>) and his shooting thus resulted in [[PSL|PUAhate's]] closing soon afterwards, after the heated media coverage regarding the forum that ensued subsequent to the massacre. Rodger's manifesto never mentioned the word "incel" and out of thousands of posts across many websites he only used the word, "incel", once or twice, including only once to self-identify.  He seemed to have spent most of his forum time in the anti-pick-up artist culture instead of any time at all in any incel forums that were popular at the time such as [[incelsupport]] or [[Love-shy dot com|love-shy.com]]. There are rumors he used the [[ForeverAlone]] subreddit, but these claims are unsubstantiated and likely false.
