An, "incel", is someone whose [[SMV]], [[decile position]] and [[LMS]] is so low, they have been reduced to a constant state of [[nonredamancy]]. Academics and a few forums have defined an incel as anyone who is involuntarily celibate for at least six months.  Involuntarily celibate meaning not being able to find sex for free.  For incels that use forums, inceldom is usually a life-long pattern, and many self-described incels are celibate for decades at a time, and are often adult virgins. One of the biggest misconceptions about inceldom is that it is an ideology, a community, a subculture a movement or group. Incelibacy is none of those things. It is simply a situation you are in. If you cannot find sex without paying, and that celibacy is unintentional (i.e. involuntary), then you are an incelibate, otherwise known as incel. The only reason that incels or incelibates use an abbreviated form of the longer term is that "incel" has only two syllables, thus is easier to say. "Incelibate" has four syllables, again easy to say. In contrast, the term  "involuntarily celibate person" has 11 syllables, which is much harder to say. Therefore the term "incel" is to "involuntary celibate" the same thing as what "lb" is to "pound". "Incelibate" is to "involuntarily celibate" the same as what "USA" is to the "United States of America". Just because a longer term is abbreviated doesn't mean that the definition has changed. So in a nutshell, "incel" is simply an abbreviation of the term "involuntarily celibate".
