Compact midface: Difference between revisions

It involves a midface/maxilla that is short and wide and tends to involve a high [[FWHR]].

A long midface (sometimes called a ''horseface'') is sometimes argued to be unattractive in men, though a short midface (in particular a high ratio of upper and lower facial features) is actually a [[neoteny|neotenous]] feature and since women tend to be more neotenous, it may be even more important for women. Of course, a ''very'' compact/wide or very elongated/narrow faces look unnatural and bad in both sexes in accordance to the [[goldilocks principle]].
