It primarily refers to media outlets which are outwardly reputable, but on closer inspection engage in a lot of lazy journalism, which in the end, ends up producing several inaccuracies. Its derived term ''fakestreamer'' can refer to both a consumer of such news, as well as a producer of such news. Agenda-driven mainstream media and the [[bluepill]] are near-synonymous terms.
