The death grip syndrome refers to a loss of sensation in the penis deriving from excessively gripping the shaft or glans of the penis during masturbation. According to sexpert Dan Savage, when this friction stems from repeated or learned forms of masturbation it may result in an inability to orgasm. Per Savage, this especially occurs when engaging in aggressive forms of masturbation.
