When dating site OK Cupid first began, they naively allowed users to rate prospective partners on both personality and looks. Over time, they saw the futility of that. It became completely apparent that personality = looks. In their blog for example, they cite an example of a "hot" model with zero profile filled out, but still scored top points for both looks and personality (even though no one could possibly know anything about this model's personality from their empty profile). | |||
