A sockpuppet or 'alt' is a duplicate account made on a forum for the purpose of appearing as more than one person. Sockpuppets are made for astroturfing and trolling.
Many members of r/IncelTears and other incelphobic hate groups use sockpuppets for the purpose of astroturfing incels.co, r/Braincels and other incel forums, and posting false flags to make incels look bad.
