Individualism is defined in social studies as "the idea that each person should think and act independently rather than depending on others".[1] The belief is based on the assumption that an individual has huge control over the outcome of events in their life. External circumstances are therefore given less importance.

Numerous people believe incels should fix themselves their inceldom problems. This point of view is opposed to the blackpill, which states solutions at a societal or group level have to be taken for most incels or truecels to ascend. Individualist solutions to ascend is typically a redpill/PUA or bluepill point of view.
