FUNK
FUNK (from German Funk, meaning broadcast or radio) is a government-funded network of german influencers, presenting establishment approved views primarily to young people between the ages of 14 and 29.[1] It was jointly launched on October 1, 2016 by ARD and ZDF,[2] the two main branches of Germany's public broadcasting system, funded by mandatory tax called the Rundfunkbeitrag. FUNK does not operate a traditional television channel and instead distributes its content exclusively through digital platforms like Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram and it's own portal funk.net
It's creation was a deliberate institutional response by German public broadcasters to challenge the structural failure of state media to reach younger demographics. Instead of producing content itself, FUNK commissions independent creators and production companies to produce Shows under the FUNK umbrella. The annual budget lies around 45 million Euros and enables more than 70 regular formats each being published on 2 content sites. Regular content genres include News, Science, Education, Politics, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Podcasts, Sports and Documentaries/Reportages including on the Manosphere/Incelosphere, primarily the german incel community it's looksmaxing subcommunity on looksmax.org.
