Demisexuality is a form of sexuality wherein an emotional connection is required in order to feel sexual arousal. As such, demisexuality is the form of sexuality which is associated with commitment. Demisexuality contrasts with the opposite sexuality, called "raw allosexuality". As such, the antonym of "demisexual" is "raw allosexual".

The reason why demisexuality is glorified in western society, whilst allosexuality is demonized is because the former is associated more with women, whilst the latter is associated more with men. Acts associated with demisexuality are referred to as "beautiful, romantic and unconditional love", whilst raw allosexuality is demeaned as "you are objectifying yourself and others".

Digisexuality[edit | edit source]

A great example of a sexual scenario which could be arousing for a raw allosexual, but could never be for a demisexual, is the gloryholes, which for the former might be seen as kinky, whilst for the latter, it would be too impersonal and as such, a libido-killer. Another great scenario that shows a contrast between demisexuals and allosexuals is the scenario of a sexbot; to the former, a sexbot could never be arousing as robots don't share genuine feelings, whilst to the latter, sexbots might very well get their juices flowing if you know what I mean.

A demisexual can never see eye to eye on sexual matters with a digisexual. Digisexuals are people (usually male) who are aroused by inanimate objects such as sexbots. For the demisexual, the inanimate object immediately becomes a turn-off as it can't reciprocate emotions. To the digisexual, emotions are not a requirement, and as such, they could easily get an erection to a object which isn't made of flesh.

Demisexualization[edit | edit source]

As such, if you ever hear an argument that sounds like "you are objectifying", or "thats a form of objectification", just know that you're listening to a demisexual (typically female) voicing their attempt at demisexualizing the digisexual or raw allosexual. From the perspective of the demisexual, everyone is a demisexual, since demisexuality is portrayed as the norm of television screens, and in movies. But the reality is that demisexuality far more amalgamates with female biology than male biology. Modern 21st century society is obsessed with erasing the natural differences between males and females, and as such, concepts such as demisexuality are brushed to the side and rebranded as simply "sexuality", as if to state that male and female anatomy and hormones always steer in the same direction. That the differences between male and female are minute. In practise, what actually happens when male and female differences are erased, attributes associated with feminine forms of sexuality are championed, causing the modern systematic attempts at demisexualizing the male population.

Feminists refer to the systemic efforts at demisexualizing the male ardour as "promoting healthy sexuality"; manospherians, refer to the demisexualizing of males as "emasculating our men"; whereas neutral observers to this phenomenon refer to it as what it actually is ... demisexualization.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The term demisexual is almost synonymous with sapiosexual, although the latter is mixed with a tinge of IQ. In practise, women are more likely than men to be demisexual, and as such, to demand intimacy, but won't exactly use that term. Instead, you will hear verbose, subjective and abstract demands that may sound something like:

  • "I want you to make more effort to see me"
  • "I want you to try call me more"
  • "I want a deeper connection"
  • "I want you to show me that you love me"
  • "I dont want anyone else but you"
  • "I feel like you're all I need"

All of the above phrases seek to tie the man down; this may mean mariage or an exclusive relationship. The last two are the most indirect, but it pressures a response from the man (or the allosexual woman) to say the same thing.

Although intimacy and a desire for an emotional attachment aren't exclusive to demisexuals, what differentiates demisexuals from allosexuals is that for the former, deep intimacy is a requirement to grool (for females) or to get a boner (for men).
