Qualifiers[edit source]

"Looks bottleneck is the idea that men did not develop to attract woman with looks, because the majority of woman are more attractive than the majority of men."

Actually, women over a certain age tend to look kinda like dogshit, so maybe we should specify, "fertile young women" and "men their same age". Basically what happens is that women's attractiveness is squeezed into a shorter period than men's, so it's like comparing a gasoline fire to a wood fire. The gasoline will have more of an explosive effect, but the wood will burn over a longer period (e.g. compare Tom Cruise to Kelly McGillis). 2601:5CD:C200:9BE0:D14:AE8:6955:C950 18:51, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

Sources and quality[edit source]

I tried to improve this, but it does not seem to make much sense and it is not sourced at all and the concept does not seem to exist according to Google. I suggest deleting this unless the Jet makes it more clear what he means by a bottleneck and provides at least some sources. Bibipi (talk) 08:12, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Alternate Hypothesis for Looks Bottleneck: divergent selection[edit source]

It is possible that the socio-sexual hierarchy is not coincidental, and each layer are genetically different to each other, thus the Alpha "play mate", Beta "work mate", and Omega "soul mate" are selected for different characteristics.
