Fakestream: Difference between revisions

The word ''fakestream'' is a blend of the words "fake" and "mainstream media". It primarily refers to media outlets which are outwardly reputable, but on closer inspection engage in a lot of lazy journalism, which in the end, ends up producing several inaccuracies. Its derived term ''fakestreamer'' can refer to both a consumer of such news, as well as a producer of such news. Agenda-driven mainstream media and the [[bluepill]] are near-synonymous terms, and as such, a ''fakestreamer'' and a ''[[bluepiller]]'' are the same thing.

The mainstream media ('''MSM''') are conventional media outlets, such as: television, newspapers, magazines, news websites and radio broadcasts.  The effect that the MSM has on wider society is referred to in the [[incelosphere]] as the [[bluepill]], meaning it is manipulative, favors specific agendas, alienates outspoken men through misandry and pigeonholing, portraying [[incels]] as a monolithic community even though it is extremely diverse. The media specifically engages in [[incel accelerationism]].
