One of the most unknown (and outlandish) methods of increasing one's size is going gay. Some studies have shown that gay men tend to have a penis that is one third of an inch larger than hetero penises.<ref>https://web.archive.org/web/20070304084315/http://salon.com/health/sex/urge/world/1999/11/04/size/index.html</ref> The most probable reason for this discrepancy is that gay anal sex tends to engorge the glans of the penis for the bottom partner. This in turn may increase skin tissue surrounding the penis, hence why homosexual men have bigger penises than their straight counterparts.

This in turn may increase skin tissue surrounding the penis, hence why homosexual men have bigger penises than their straight counterparts.
Another theory is that studies prove that gays are among the most sexually active partners of all gender pairings, ahead of the second most active gender pairing of male-female. Lengthy sex spells in turn usually require men to have erections for longer durations. Such lengthy erections in practise are in some way technically analogous to [[hulseyism]], a cousin of priapism. Priapism has been shown in some studies to lead to growth of the penile tissues. In other words, having lengthy sex sessions may lead to a larger penis.<ref>{{Cite journal|last=Datta|first=Nand S.|date=1977-05-01|title=Megalophallus in Sickle Cell Disease|url=http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0022534717585821|journal=The Journal of Urology|volume=117|issue=5|pages=672–673|doi=10.1016/S0022-5347(17)58582-1}}</ref><ref>{{Cite journal|last=Kassim|first=A.
