Bonobo

Bonobos are an endangered species of great apes. They are usually caricatured as having lots of sex, and frequently.
Relatively high sexual inequality[edit | edit source]
They have higher male reproductive skew than chimpanzees, which is theorized to be due to them being a socially cohesive species. Social cohesion may limit the ability of "sneaker males" to use aquire females without group approval.[1]
Due to their close relation to humans, bonobos could be an interesting case study into whether sexlessness among humans constitutes a Maslow need or ADL that is missing.
