BBC Three is a branch of the British Broadcasting Corporation that in 2018 reached out to many incels.co and incelistan users about doing a documentary. In October 2018, it was announced that the project had been commissioned (i.e. its budget had been approved) and that production could therefore begin. Many incels.co users have expressed skepticism and suspicion about the motives and intentions of the documentarians.

Contrary to the assumptions of many incels.co users, the "interviews" by BBC Three that have been conducted have merely been phone conversations for research purposes, potentially but not necessarily leading up to actual interviews in front of a camera that could become part of the documentary. Some black incels.co users have remarked that every time they unzip their pants, they have an opportunity to talk to the BBC if they want.[1]

Appearances[edit | edit source]

incels.co members who expressed interest in the project include Master,[2] catfishman,[3] and NEETAndTidy.[4][5][6] There was also talk that FrailPaleStaleMale had participated while drunk, although his credibility may be suspect.

Vloggers Just James and IceCat7 were interviewed and will likely be in it. Stephen Lemelle from Incelistan was also interviewed and will likely be in it.

JeffGoldblumInTheFly claimed to have declined an interview.[7]

William Lupinacci declined an in person interview, but sent in some vlogs in case they wanted to use them. Due to ending up in a mental hospital during filming, he most likely will request all footage of him not to be in it.

Total Imbecile has predicted that everyone who participates in the documentary will ascend by statusmaxxing.[8] It has been suggested that only oldcels should participate, to give inceldom more credibility.[9] Although, the BBC was only looking for youngcels as BBC3 is geared towards young adults.

Monday FA Monday was rejected as a possibility. Jsanza29 and Kent contacts were attempted by the BBC but failed. Virgin Messiah declined. HeedandSucceed declined temporarily.

FaceandLMS declined twice.

Icecat7 also ended up in a mental hospital during month of filming.
